Zip it

Today I sat and talked with a girl I usually just say a ‘hi-howdy’ to. Under the street light, we sat on a pavement and talked. I don’t know why we were talking and I don’t remember talking so intensively and deeply to my closer friends in the recent past. But for some reason she was telling me bits and pieces of her life and when she asked me things, I felt no offense. Only problem is I sometimes feel I talked a lot too much later on. I did today too.

I think I have been unknowingly keeping the book called my life closed for some time, except when I am alone. I don’t simply like to talk about my life with anyone. Well of course the obvious and superficial facts are there for all to see. But what goes deep, I just like it to stay deep, I don’t like it coming to the surface. Now is that the right route, I know not. But I like to follow my mind and if my mind chooses to zip itself off from everyone’s reach, I will keep it zipped.

I never believed in the theory “Talk it to out to someone and you will feel all better”. If you need any talking, I say do it with yourself. You are the best listener and keeper of the stories your mind has got to tell. So zip-it, is my rule in life.

Ok we did agree we will write more, but are we going a little too personal here?

  1. Yu are doing wat yu said, we hav 2 posts a day! Loved reading this one.. I admire people who kno to “zip it”, cause i certainly dont fall into that category. Once im comfortable with a person, i just open up… not evrythn but yes… I open up! ”Talk it to out to someone and you will feel all better”… About that, hmmmm… when i talk to myself i always tend to get confused, baffled and i like it when there is someone “REAL” close when i really am confused and wanna open up!!

    • @Akshaya, if you feel the need to talk to someone, and you know you can rely on someone for that, then you should definitely go ahead. Why I zip it is cause I dont like talking about personal stuff. Different people feel different I guess.
And about opening up to someone – it is just my opinion. I have somehow felt it never does anyone any good. But I could be wrong of course :-).

  3. oh..got one more person..m happy to know that people like me exists in a near circle..u know, i always wonder how people can share the deepest secrets of their life to someone else..i have seen the theory “Talk it to out to someone and you will feel all better” working..and most of my friends do that and they have asked me many times to open up..and i have tried..but i think i cant’t do that..every time, when i try to talk i hold back the key elements of my life..hehe.

let it be inside me only. 🙂

CAUTION: Allowing others to read the book called “my life” may end up ruining the same with torn pages and covers if it goes to wrong hands..Always remember that we are provided with only one copy of that book. Keep it Safe.

Cris is only pretending to be an ass to masquerade her
intimidating intellect to avoid being kidnapped by extraterrestrial hitchhikers!

something high-sounding at the same time. you know…

  7. well I prefer self-talks too. 🙂
Though sometimes, when I feel evil, I like pouring it all out and confusing some innocent people to death with my wierd woes. It’s kinda funny! 😀
ps: try that with your enemies. you’ll love it! :))
