Tiny little speck

I am just a tiny little speck.

A camera.

I am walking. And the focus is on me, entirely. Me, myself, my problems, and my life fill the entire picture – the whole world seems to be just that.

But move the focus a bit farther – take it to my surroundings. I am part of the surroundings. There are others around me. The world is not made of just me and my problems – there are others and their much bigger problems.

Move the focus further away. We move to the city, to the state, to the country, to the continent, the world and I become smaller and smaller till I am a tiny little speck – no! Much smaller! Microscopic!

The problems around fill the world so much that me or my problems don’t seem to exist.

I am just a tiny little speck.

When we understand the problems others have, our’s appear too small.

  4. this is one of the reasons i love the metro city life.
one walk down a busy road, and you can just lose yourself in the huuge crowd.
i love it. it humbles me. n makes me feel like im some small part of a biig picture.

@Abhilash, thanks :-). More than understanding others’ problems, I meant accepting it. Realising how everyone and everything fits into the picture.
