Scene 1

We were to have a meeting soon. I had to go out and called my editor to tell that. Ground floor is our company and top floor is a food court.

Sir?”

Yes?”

Sir meeting ine kuricharyan… njan molil poyi”(“Sir I wanted to know about the meeting. I went upstairs”)

You went upstairs to know about the meeting happening here?”

Err”

Scene 2

I wanted to tell that I have to leave by 4:30

So I raise 4 fingers of one hand and 3 fingers of the other and say 4, and 30.

How do you show 4:30 again?”

Err”

Scene 3

I get a call from a friend.

I answer. “Hi A its me Cris!”

I understood that”.

The point in case you missed it is – he was calling me, so emm there is a high probability that he knew it.

  3. 4.30! Thats a funny one. Another effective way of showing the .30s is this-suppose you want to show 4.30 or 5.30 show the number on you hand, hold up 4 fingers or five, then pat your hips ( in malayalam-ara, 4.30-naal ara) Its stupid, i know. But it worked well for us in our hostel life. We couldn’t talk during study time so everything was communicated thru hand and body signals. Good one Chris. We need humor in our life.

  4. This one beats the sh!ts outta my Daily Blunder! :)) ‘

4.30’ rocks!!! But you could always show a zero by joining your index finger and thumb in an ‘O’ shape. Guess you forgot that in the spur of the moment! 😛

But trust me, sis! I’m worse… You’ll know why soon! 😛

    About ‘3’:
There’s a good chance that you might have left your phone somewhere and gone elsewhere. Hence, there’s a nice probablity of a third person (other than you) attending the call! So, that doesn’t qualify as a blunder, per se. 😉 You were just clarifying that you’re really you, right? 😛

  7. @M.Rose, LOL!!! Thats a really good one! Beat tummy eh? I will remember that! Hope others wont think its an invitation to hit my tummy!

@Hari, been there to read it kiddo. And no you lose, I win the daily blunder cup :p

@Nimmy, hehe I know you do dear!

@manu, by the first hand. The first hand would mean the left side of the time, and second hand would mean the right side. So 4:30 is 4 in first and 3 in second, 3:40 is the other way. What’d be diffcult to distinguish is between 4:03 and 4:30 😀
