Dreams that come true (the sleep-dreams I mean)

Have you ever had your dreams coming true?

I dont mean ambitions. I mean the ones you see when you sleep. The usually senseless ones.

Back in school, I had this senior who left school. She was no close friend but she was the head girl. Anyway it was a couple of years since she left school and one day for no reason I dream of her. That she was coming to school that day in a gray dress.

From morning, I wanted to tell it to someone cause I toyed with the idea of it coming true and having evidence that I really did dream it. Unfortunately I told noone and she did turn up! A girl who left school two years ago came on the exact day I dreamt of her. She was wearing green though.

But this really shook me up. Why would I dream of her when I never thought of her??? And on that day in particular. But of course dreams never make sense.

Another time was when first semester exam results were out, and I dreamt that a friend got 1245. And she got 1145. Ok I was wrong by a digit but it still seemed amazing. Why couldnt I dream mine!

There were more. I lost a ring once and searched all places in vain. Nap-dream said I get it from under my desk. I believed it, but turned out it was inside my desk. Still the keyword here is desk.

Ok I admit except the first one, the others are not quite there. Still its something when you feel so real in a dream… you just wake up to follow it!

Yet another deal is when you realize you are dreaming! Oh thats the best! Cause you get complete control of yourself there and you can do what you please! I think I have written about this before – what I usually do is fly. And there is no time to think what to do, cause you only get a few seconds once you know you are dreaming! And then you wake up. So make it fast. Its the most wonderful feeling ever I tell you!

I dont know if its worth a tag. But I’d be happy to hear anyone talking about their dreams coming true.

  2. I never get dreams 😦 But once I have heard my mom telling something similar.. We had been to Palani and she kept one gold chain somewhere ‘safely’. But after we came back she had no idea whether she kept it at home or whether she carried it with her. Since we couldn’t find it even after a month we thought we lost it. But then it seems she had a dream – some bright light near the staircase – and finally we got the chain from the room upstairs!

    Btw Happy New Year πŸ™‚

  5. HAPPY NEW YEAR, dear!!
Dreams! Its one of my favorite topics. I luv to have dreams(while sleeping, of course-not daydreams, although that a totally different area). I don’t remember any of my dreams coming true though(one time, i dreamt beforehand seeing the questions of an exam -one actually came, freaky or what). Although, if i watch a scary movie and sleep, i get horror dreams in which i’ll be present. I know! Its SO cool! Its like watching a whole new movie while sleeping. At first, i used to be shaken up bout it. But as time passed i came to like it (yeah, i know i’m weird). When i was in college i used to keep a dream diary. Its was fun. I don’t get the time anymore. You should try that. Keep a book and pen by your bed side. When you wake up, write down quickly what you dreamt of. ‘Quickly’ is the keyword here-coz when it comes to dreams(especially good ones) you forget them fast. Lemme know how it goes!

  6. My pet topic! πŸ˜›
Revelation: I started blogging, ’cause of this phenomenon! Ever read the caption of my blog, sis? It’s “Dreams to reality: A sojourn”.

I can totally relate with you, chechi. Happens with me every other day. πŸ™‚ Don’t think this is anything supernatural, though. It’s got a rational explanation. Haven’t you heard a lot of discourse on the ‘power of the human mind’ and stuff? Something related to that, I guess. πŸ˜€

And, I’m going to take up this ‘tag’, for sure! πŸ˜€

Actually something like that happened last day to me vis-a-vis nearly there dreams.
I dreamt that I will wake up at home in Trivandrum, but woke up as [is now] usual in Bangalore.
But like Cris says the keyword is ‘wake’.

  8. @Nimmy, same to you dear!

    Β

@Dhan, Merry new year to you too. Your Mom’s story sounds so similar to my ring story!

    Β

@Kavi, LOL :D. Afraid most of my dreams have in the past shown an inclination to be completely untrue!

    Β

    @Binny V A, you bet!

    Β

@M.Rose, that must be some experience! The horror dreams! You lucky girl! And a dream book? I love the idea! I am going for it!

    Β

@Hari, really? Yes isnt it simply amazing? I wonder if there is some way to develop it. I mean stay longer in dreams and take control as you please. And oh yeah heard lots of the power of mind and β€˜d absolutely love to develop it! Err is that meditation?

    Β

@VK, aw come on VK! There is more to it than that! Waa little bro making fun of me waa waa!

  10. wow! im taking up the tag!
i have this long term hot-cold affair with dreams coming true..
n i sooooo soooo agree with u on that half-realisation part, where u feel like quickly getting back to it and making a conscious ‘happy ending’ just so that you’ll feel better n you wake up..
n some of them have been real real spooky.

though my regular ones are where im on my way to an exam n rushing against time/ some stupid issue n me soo desperatley wanting to give the exam as though my life hangs on it.. days when i wake up n tell myself.. ‘chill.. girl!!’ πŸ˜€
