Saving the world

Filed under: Just talking — Cris @ 22:16

I did my good deed for the day. In the middle of the road, actually on the entrance to a sidewalk, there was a banner tied between a post and a wall. I am normally friendly with banners. Poor little spreaders of poor little messages. I sympathized with them. But this banner was held in place with 2 slimy little threads and with all my brilliant night vision, I almost missed the threads. Having a wonderfully vivid imagination, I could see a typhoon (a dictionary may tell you its a violent storm but it could mean any peace-loving individual on fire) missing them and falling back on all fours; and if I went on, I could see speedy buses missing the all-fours-typhoon on the road. And it is going to be a mighty bad fall, even in the most merciful imagination.

So I did what any responsible, caring, people-loving individual would do. I cursed the world. That’s the first step for most important activities in life. I convinced my mother the importance of saving future presidents and space goers and all the other futures which might go under the bus I was telling you about. So we went to my building, got a blade, went back, waited for the coast to be clear, and cut the lower rope. The upper one was too high to trip future celebrities.

The world saved of dangerous ropes, I removed my super girl disguise and went back to living a normal human being’s life. I was needed in both worlds.
